Walking Football is an evolution of the game that recognises the evolution of our physical prowess.

It’s slow football – in an average game most players are covering between 3 and 5km in an hour, or 10000 steps.

It’s too easy  – it requires high levels of skill and fast thinking as you are coming up very good players who are as competitive as they were in their prime.

It’s for old people –you play against the opposition from your generation, but it starts at 50 (or 35 for ladies) and the opponents turn up to win, not have a kick around.

I am too young– really, this is about playing high quality, competitive football again, you aren’t retiring from other football or giving up, this is a different game.

I’m not fit enough nowadays – why not just come along and join in our friendly games that will help you get up to speed. It’s more about quick thinking than speed along the ground – as we can’t run !!

I’ve never played football – actually, quite a few of our players started from there. Dedicating some time to learning the basic techniques and over time you will be able to enjoy the game. We offer friendly games and coaching where it can help.
