I guess the question that anyone writing a blog to answer at the start is “Why am I doing this”, and for the readers, “why bother reading this?”

For a long time my friends have said I should write a book about all our adventures, as we often end up in some bizarre and chaotic situations.

/As a family, we have been compared to the Hollywood Griswalds family and the National Lampoon vacations on many occasions. In fact, when we were watching the latest film, my youngest lad stood up and left the room saying “I can’t take anymore, this is too much like reality”.

In the past I’ve communicated these stories on email, Facebook and even Whatsapp as the events unfold, so now I’m going to try to tell the tales in a way that brings out the humour and lessons for sane people to learn from.
